We just got home from Cincinnati Children's Hospital yesterday. He had surgery on Friday and we got more bad news the disease is still spreading even though he has been on interferon for almost 2 months. Luckly he has not experience any of the bad side effects associated w/this drug.
His surgery went well and we were supossed to be able to go home but in the PACU he started to retain CO2 and the had to reintubate him and send him to the PICU.
They excabated him the next day and he did well but still needed O2 and we were able to move to the complex airway unit on Sunday where they weaned him off the O2 and we were dischared on Mondaymariahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11846583956961287160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1471318564711140918.post-52674178635105930872008-10-13T18:58:00.000-06:002008-10-13T18:58:00.000-06:00How stressful for all of you!
